P Day Wednesdays and MTC Address

Hello everyone!!

I was told to write home today and let everyone know how I am doing. My regular P-day is on Wednesday, So you will not hear from me till then. 

The MTC is literally the best place. I love it here, and I love my Branch and District. I have a total of 12 people in my District. 8 Elders and 4 Sisters. I am the oldest one in my whole branch! I did not feel old until I came to the MTC. The next oldest person turns 20 on Sunday. My companion (Sister Empey) is so helpful to have around. As much as I like and miss my a lone time I actually enjoy being around her 24/7. The other two Sisters we share a room with are also in our District. Sister Richards and Sister Macho (pronounced Mako.) I love them so much! They are the funnest girls to be around. We all get along really well and our personalities compliment each other. I will say that they think I am the funniest, and they always laugh at my jokes. So I feel pretty great! hahaha

Funny story: I have been hit on twice while I have been here by other Elders. I was sitting in a training with about 50 missionaries and my companion and I left to use the restroom and when I came back I opened my scriptures to a note inside that said, "Hello, I think you are beautiful and I would love for you to email me." With his email address attached. lol The second time an Elder came up to me at lunch and handed me a piece of paper with an email address written on it. He told me that it was not from him but from his companion that was too shy to give it to me himself. Even though I am very flattered, I am also a little bit surprised and confused. I am here for one reason and one purpose. I am not here to find my eternal companion or to even flurt or become close with an Elder. My purpose is to invite others come unto Christ and his Gospel. I am surprised that other people may not be as focused as I am. But I appreciate the gesture.   

I am so excited for General Conference this weekend! I will have to admit I usually fall asleep at some point during General Conference haha. So I am glad that I will be in a place that will help me be discipline and committed to really listen to everyone who will be speaking. I invite all of you to watch General Conference this weekend! And I invite you to really listen to the speakers. Take notes and engage yourself!

MTC First Day!

I made it safe!!

After I arrived at the MTC, they had us check in where we got our name tag, and put our luggage in our rooms, and then took us into a room full of computers and said, "alright, go ahead and write home!" I was surpised, but happy to let everyone know that I am safe and I love it here already! 

My companion is a cute little strawberry blonde and she is so helpful and sweet. Her name is Sister Empey. 

I am excited to start my mission journey and I cant wait to learn and share the gospel!
